will be taking notes comparing The
Odyssey to O
Brother, Where Art Thou. The notes
will be worth 25 points and will be due at the end of the viewing of the
film. --
They will be taking notes in form of a “T” Chart looking like this:

Students will use the film as a reference to their own short story where
they use elements from The Odyssey to create their own story. --
I will be gone today. There will be a sub in class. Tuesday -- Continue
viewing O Brother… Wednesday --
Complete viewing of O Brother… -- Begin
brainstorming for story. Begin story arc in class. The typed, two page
story will be due. Thursday, March 29th. Thursday --
ITED testing today. -- Periods
1, 2 and 3. Outside reading for the book reports on Monday. If you do
not have a book today, you will not give a report on Monday and take
will take a 0. I do not believe that you do not have book on Thursday,
but read a whole book over the weekend. Also, if you have book to report
on, bring it today.
