Monday    

-- Complete the viewing of PBS/Masterpiece Theatre version of Stage Two of

-- Outside read

-- Discuss story arch of Great Expectations so far.

-- Begin Chapters 30-32 of Great Expectations (it begins on pg. 674 in the text)

HW—Complete the reading for homework and the questions in the packet for chapters 30-32 (pgs 27 and 28 in the packet)

 

Tuesday ADVISORY

-- Answer questions about chapters 30-32

-- Quiz over chapters 30-32 → Correct

-- Correct questions in packet for chapters 30-32

-- Outside read.

-- Break into groups for visual interpretation of chapters. They will begin this project tomorrow.

 

Wednesday  

-- In groups of two-three, student will create a visual representation of chapters of Great Expectations

For example, one group will create the highlights for chapters 1-5; another group would have chapters 6-10 and so on. We will do this for the 30 chapters we’ve read so far. The groups will present their images at the end of the period on Thursday.

 

Thursday FESTIVUS FOR THE REST OF US!

-- Complete the visual interpretation for chapters of Great Expectations

 Groups will present at the end of the period.

 

Friday

-- In conjunction with Great Expectations, I will read the final chapter of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

-- We will briefly discuss the thought of redemptions, generosity and the supernatural as themes in Dickens’ novels.

NO HOMEWORK OVER THE BREAK.
